Should the United States become an Isolationist country?

I've been looking at how other countries view America recently, and it has not been all that good. Many of these people believe its Americas fault for all the greed and sin of the world, and how the U.S. corrupts the world and leads it to never-ending wars and plagues. Well I begin now to think, hey if everyone thinks the world would be better off without america than why don't the we become an isolationist and deal with our own problems while the other countries do there own "things" and fight and serve their own wars/heath problems/terrorism/economy/etc.? It kind of makes me wonder why anti-americanism is arising based on things that many other countries have done themselves too (slavery, wars, killing of native people) but still are not hated as much as the United States. Also, if you answer, please explain why or why not. Thank You.
